About Sriharikota:
Sriharikota is an 44000 ac. island located 80 kms from Chennai. It is exclusively for rocket launching with limited excess to outsiders. Within the island, there are all the facilities such as School, Hospital, Gas supplier, housing society, welfare society & 2 markets constructed exclusively for ISRO employees. There is also Army/CISF Canteen where ISRO employees have full excess.
There is also network of daily ISRO owned buses only reserved for ISRO employees & their dependents from Sriharikota to nearest town and railway station(Sullurpeta)
Life is really peaceful here, pollution free and hassle-free since everything is within 1 km. And the best part is front row seats to Rocket launching.
TRANSFER:
Although I might be opting to transfer to Delhi or Ahmedabad or Bangalore after the promotion which is due in July 2023 subject to the preference of my would-be better half.
